Welcome to all new visitors coming to us from the interview we did on shrewworld.com. I hope you enjoy the comic. To make things easier, you can read the run from the beginning.
For regular visitors who don’t know what I’m talking about, Jeaux and I did an interview about Buck and the crew. We had a grand time with it, and we think it came out pretty good. Thanks again to Tyler for getting in touch with us.

They just become trivia questions. Anyway, Jeaux got the week off so he could set up the brand new Double D8 website. Go check all the new shiny and clicky things!
Normal schedule to resume next week. If you need something to pass the time, head over to Jigsaw. Funny puppet show with a mad scientist, and his robot friend. They’re doing a mini episode a day for the month of Feb.

The comic is going to be a little late this week. But for a change, it’s my fault, not Jeaux.

The story progresses along, and a new character is introduced. Behold the wonder that is BatBoy! I think I should get an award or something for the fastest killing off of a main character in comic history. I’m really taking a liking to the new format, though this week had a ton of coloring involved. But it’s well worth it.
Jeaux has a new little side project with Liz Ohansian: Animal Sounds. A cute look at life working at a record store. They got six episodes up so far, and it’s damn cool. Stylistically quite different from the Shrew, so don’t expect “more of the same”. Not from Jeaux, he’s too damn good. And don’t worry, we ain’t going anywhere. We’ve got big plans for this year, you wait and see.
Till next time: Happy Shrewsday!

Check out this great piece of Shrew Fan Art from WWS Reader & Comic Artist, Manny Mederos!!!
Very Noir-ish!
Thanks Manny!
We are having a bit of technical difficulties with our hosting service at the moment, so this weeks comic will be a bit late. We hope to have the problem resolved soon.
So, this is the new format. Hopefully, you all won’t notice a difference, aside from the lack of horrible filler strips.
Things we are working on for the New Year (Shrews-olutions, if you will)
–Jeaux will learn how to post a message
–No more lame filler posts
–Shrew in print!?!
–Merch?
–X-overs?
So yeah, we’ve got things in the works. No official announcements, but stay tuned.

Any resemblance of any characters to real people, alive or dead, is purely coincidental.
I came up with this storyline whilst listening to the great band iknowkungfu. Music has a way of influencing me quite a bit. This week, I’ve been listening to my buds, Graveyard BBQ pretty much constantly, so who knows what next weeks comic will look like. Other than awesome, that is.
Jeaux and I have a bunch of stuff brewing, both separately and together, so stay tuned after the new year for some major updates. Till then:
Reasons Greetings,
Damian
Yep, proven scientific fact: ghosts drink Zima. OK, so I made that up. This week, two new characters are introduced, Stu the bartender, and EmoGuy. Stu, being Buck’s bartender and only real friend, will play a big part, but I’m not sure how often EmoGuy will show up. Depends on how many hipster jokes we come up with.
We’re toying with the idea of moving to a more traditional 3-4 panel comic strip type format (like you see in the funny pages). The main reason for this is speed. Unlike most web comics, WWS is hand drawn on real paper using real inks (we’re old school). This takes a lot of time, since we don’t just copy/paste panels, and cleaning the images for web viewing takes longer due to dealing with the paper texture.
Anyway, we’ll be trying out a few things in the coming weeks. Feel free to let us know what you think in the forums.
Enjoy your Shrewsday,
Damian
Jeaux is totally slacking off this week, so he must be punished! (He’s not really a vegan, just made the joke easier). But I’m still whipping him with raw bacon, just cuz.
